9 things you must do when visiting Dubai

Dubai is the most populated city in the United Arab Emirates, it is also one of the very few cities in the world that has undergone such a rapid transformation. It is now one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world. There are so many things to do when visiting this exciting city, we have put together just a few of the best!!

1. Visit the Burj Khalifa. Being the tallest man made structure in the world, this magnificent building that is made up of a hotel, apartments and offices is a breathtaking structure! Be careful not to strain your neck trying to see the top!

2. Take a day out of your trip and visit the Dubai Mall and get lost in the maze of endless shops and restaurants. Yes you are correct, it is the largest Mall in the world. Spend the day exploring and take time outs sitting by the Dubai fountain that shoot jets of 500 ft in the air. This fountain erupts twice in the afternoon and every 30 minutes in the evenings putting on a magnificent show full of lights.

3. Go on a 4×4 Desert Safari. This is a 5 hour adventure that takes you into the golden desert where they take you to visit camels along with a traditional arabian BBQ and belly dancing show.

4. Why not go skiing? Ski Dubai is the first indoor ski resort in the Middle East and offers an amazing snow setting to enjoy skiing, snowboarding and tobogganing or just playing in the snow. Who would think you could be in 40 degrees heat one minute and then skiing the next, Dubai makes the impossible possible.

8. Visit the amazing Madinat Jumeirah Hotel Resort. Set across its own private beach, Madinat Jumeirah resort is an authentic recreation of ancient Arabia. It features two grand boutique hotels, Al Qasr and Mina A’ Salam, 29 traditional summer houses in Dar Al Masyaf, 7 Malakiya Villas, over 40 restaurants and bars, conference and banqueting facilities including two grand ballrooms, a 1000-seat amphitheatre and the region’s only dedicated entertainment centre and multi-purpose venue, Madinat Arena. Yes its huge!! Come here for dinner and get a gondola along the man made lake to your restaurant door, sounds good right?

9. Get dressed up and attend afternoon tea at the Burj Al Arab. The worlds only 7 star hotel is the landmark of Dubai and a must to visit for some Afternoon Tea to say you have done it. Repeatedly voted the world’s most luxurious hotel, you will know why when you visit.
